CLASSIC COLLECTION BURGUNDY Featured Itinerary:  A Taste of Burgundy.  Enjoy an initiation to Burgundy during this full-day tour with your sommelier-guide.  Begin your day with a visit of the Château du Clos Vougeot, a historic monument and the largest single vineyard in Côte de Nuits entitled to the grand cru designation.  Stop for lunch based on regional Burgundian specialities at a local Auberge or in the terrace restaurant of a nearby castle-hotel, Château de Gilly, then return towards Beaune to explore the 3-km long cellars of the historic Château de Meursault. With its thousand-year history, eight-hectare Clos, and over sixty hectares of Premier Crus and Grand Crus classified vineyards, it is also the site of the annual Paulée de Meursault, a renowned international wine event. CLASSIC COLLECTION NORMANDY Featured Itinerary:  D-Day and the Beaches of Normandy.  The Normandy Invasion remains the largest seaborne invasion in history, with nearly three million Allied troops crossing the English Channel from Britain to Normandy in occupied France.  In the company of your driver-guide, set off on an emotional journey as you visit the beaches where the World War II D-Day landings took place, including Utah Beach and Omaha Beach.  Visit Sainte-Mère-Église, a small village occupied by the American troops and one of the first French towns liberated in the invasion.  Stop at the Pointe-du-Hoc battlefield to appreciate the magnitude of the obstacles faced by the Allied forces, and witness the sacrifice of these brave troops as you visit the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, with its row after row of white crosses—a truly moving and memorable experience—as well as the Arromanches D-Day Museum, built in commemoration of the Normandy Campaign.  [View / Download the full ASV Classic Collection NORMANDY PDF (US Format)]
