Although our focus is on the South of France, we also work further afield. Our featured destinations—which are great for Autumn and Winter travel—are Burgundy, Normandy and Courchevel.  Additionally, we have trusted partners in Paris, Tuscany, the UK and other areas, and are happy to refer you to them if you need help in these destinations.

Featured Destination: Normandy

You cannot begin to understand the true meaning of bravery and sacrifice until you have stood in the middle of Omaha Beach at low tide.  Over one or two days, learn about the American experience on D-Day. From the exploits of the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions around Saint-Mère-Église and Carentan to the daring assault of US Army Rangers at Pointe du Hoc, from the dunes of Utah beach to the bunkers of WN72 on Dog Green sector of Omaha, you’ll hear about the achievements of the “Greatest Generation”.

Did your father, grandfather, or uncle fight in the Battle of Normandy? Embark on a customized personal history tour, spending several days tracing the footsteps of your military family member with a professional researcher and guide. Using the personal information that you provide, we research your relative’s unit, creating a tour that takes you off the tourist trails and onto the path of the company he fought with and, if possible, focusing on your relative’s involvement. Experience a more intimate relationship with your family member’s history, the battle he fought in, and Normandy as a whole!

Destination Burgundy

While it’s a delightful destination at any time of the year, the celebrated wine-growing region of Beaune and Burgundy at its magical best during Autumn and Winter. Spend a few days discovering the highlights of Beaune, its historic center and surrounding vineyards, or a week venturing further afield, accompanied by your guide and driver in a luxury minivan. Visit centuries-old family wineries, sample legendary wines—and Burgundian truffles—during private tastings, develop your knowledge of viniculture, and join in an actual wine harvest. Explore the renowned 15th-century Hospices de Beaune, a former hospital complex now famous for its annual charity wine auction. Plan your trip in early November to include a day in Dijon, the capital of the historic Burgundy region, to take in the city’s annual International Gastronomy Fair. Dine in a Michelin-starred restaurant or a renowned members-only wine club, or enjoy a gourmet picnic in the heart of a vineyard. And if the kids are coming too, let them enjoy an activity of their own at a nearby adventure park under the watchful eye of a professional child-minder while you’re off visiting Châteaux.
